Studios advertising “hot yoga” have become popular almost everywhere. Hot yoga, or “Bikram” style yoga, is a specific type of yoga that includes a series of 26 postures that are practiced in a┬áhot, humid room. According to the Mayo clinic, the optimal temperature for hot yoga is 105 degrees F and the humidity is 40 percent. The sweat-inducing environment is thought to help the muscles relax into the challenging postures.
