Vent Free Gas Logs are sometimes referred to as Vent Free Heaters because that is essentially what they are! They have a much better heat output than vented gas logs do & they also consume slightly less gas than vented logs. Just about the only downside of vent free gas logs is that the flame produced is not as “pretty” as the one produced by a vented gas log set. Of course, if you are concerned more with heating ability than with looks, a vent free gas log set is definitely the one for you! Check your local & state codes before installing because they are not permitted everywhere.
