With no chimney systems required, this product can go almost anywhere in your home (except in bathroom, bedroom, spa room, mobile home, or recreational vehicle), with adequate provisions for combustion and ventilation (room size and BTUs of appliance are the deciding factors of what BTU size can be used for a particular installation). The appliance is 99.9% efficient - using room air for combustion and exhausting to the room. The vent free burner systems have an ODS pilot system, which shuts the burner system down if oxygen in the room falls below acceptable limits.
